THE BENIN-YORUBA WEDDING OF ABIMBOLA AND TAIWO

THE BENIN-YORUBA WEDDING OF ABIMBOLA AND TAIWO

Reception entry has become one of the most creative things about weddings. Of course, couple and event planners put so much in making wedding reception entry as special and unique as ever. So many creative ideas we have seen over time like the bride making a grand entry in bubble or maybe with horse chariot, the groom playing up a act of looking for his bride, the groom illustrating with lyrics of songs and so many more.

When Taiwo, the other duo of Kehinde Popoola decided to marry Abimbola, it was a union of friends and a display of cultural heritage. Abimbola and Taiwo went for creativity, the bride dressed in the Benin style going all the way with the wrapper and Edo beads adoring her neck and head while her groom, Taiwo went for the traditional Benin style by spotting beads. The couple went further to change to the Yoruba style in iro and buba for the bride while the groom, buba and sokoto with matching headgear and cap. Abimbola was beautifully made up by Eniola Ayoola Make up while her hair was styled by Hair by Sleame. Ben Komolafe photography was in charge of the photography for Abimbola and Kehinde’s wedding ceremony.
