Alex Unusual, Zizi Cardow, Ejiro Amos Tafiri And More Shine At Pan African 5th Annual Music Fashion Runway 2019 #MFR2019

On Saturday 30th November 2019, Pan African Annual Music Fashion Runway #MFR2019 and Game Changer Acknowledgement Awards #GCAA2019 held its 5th edition at the Wheatbaker Hotel, Lagos.

The event which was graced by veteran broadcaster/actor, Patrick Doyle and ambassador of the brand, Alex Unusual was indeed a runaway success with 10 Pan African designers and 40 international & Pan African runway supermodels present.

Hosted by Winfrey Okolo, former MGBN Tourism, the show kicked with an explosive and intricate choreography by Legon Dance Troupe from Ghana along with music from LoudNProudLive ‘One Sound’ Band & DJ Sumtin with first-class live artist performances.

The Game Change Africa Acknowledgement Award presentation #GCAA2019, anchored by comedienne Wofai Samuel, honoured global brand label / international designer Amaka Asakwe aka MAKI OH whose designs has ben won by superstars such as Beyonce, Kerry Washington, Lady Gaga & US former First Lady Michelle Obama. The Award, presented by Ngozi Omambala MD/CEO NMO Management Limited, founder organisers of the Pan African Music Fashion Runway and Game Changer Africa Acknowledgement Awards platforms.

The fashion designers who showcased included both men and womenswear designers such as Afrik Fashion Trend #AFT (Cameroon), Anie Yvonne’s Concept – Prêt-à-Porter Collection: African Fashion for a World Market, House of Temmy, Skentele by Etti (Vilisco), Quophi Akotuah (Ghana), Steve Ray Couture, Big Ben Kilani, Kias Divo Collection (Uganda), Zizi Cardow and Ejiro Amos Tafiri.

Other interesting sights include music performances Tomi Thomas, The Voice Nigeria 2017 winner IDYL, Xtacy, Hyze of Music, LOVEN, GBT Audition winner EZZY and veteran international electric bass guitarist Brian Cox.

The event rounded up with Alex Unusual being unveiled as the cover of MFR official publication, TAN Magazine. It was announced with a stunning visual that has been archived for a year before the cover reveal.

Pan African Music Fashion Runway #MFR is a cultural showcase platform which blends contemporary Pan African designers, international runway models with cutting edge fashion and live music excellence: a true celebration our rich African cultural heritage. 2019 marks 5th annual edition of the cultural platform.
